Background:
- We are in a project in the industrial sector, in an animal feed factory.
- The operation prior to our project, based the manufacturing process on a manual activation. Each thread was activated with a button and each scale had to be followed with its viewer. The final product, was affected by the reliability of the process.
Project description:
- From LT-Leftec, we have integrated PLC’s and a SCADA for the operation of the entire system. Seeking maximum efficiency and reliability in the process. Performing diagnosis of the entire system to facilitate its maintenance and recording each movement to guarantee product traceability.
Final result:
After the start-up of our project we achieved:
- That the recipes generated to manufacture the different feeds are exact in their manufacture and the animals are not being harmed by old errors in manual operation.
- That the stock of the products is much more accurate therefore the cost calculations are much more precise.
- That the maintenance team can control if there has been a stoppage or if any gate has taken longer than expected to open or close, allowing better preventive maintenance. The information arrives immediately at the office, therefore, action can be taken on any anomaly much more quickly.
